Tomorrow Board Members Eric De Theije, Jan Van Cauwenberghe and Carl Verstrepen fly out to Atlanta, Georgia. They will attend Fire Rescue International 2015.
During the Atlanta 2014 program they were invided by Fire Chief Cochran. He thought FRI would be the place to be for us to get in contact with leadership of US fire services. Current AFRD Fire Chief Baker commited to help us out with our participation.
A few thousand fire chiefs and company officers from all over the US, Canada and a few other countries will take over the city of Atlanta next week. The schedule is pretty full with keynote speakers, classes, seminars, workshops,…special after hours events. There will also be an exhibit hall with a few hundred exhibitors, Fire Observers vzw will be one of them.
It's our goal to promote our organization and to get in contact with fire service leaders to obtain new departments for future training programs.
