Carl Verstrepen – Board member
I was born in Antwerp in 1978. At the age of twelve I moved to Roosdaal. Today I live in Lochristi, a small town near the city of Ghent.
I joined the fire department of Lennik when I was 18. Since then I’ve been active within several fire and rescue services filling various positions and roles. Today, I work for an EMS agency near Ghent and I run my own company providing instruction, consulting and support on fire, rescue, medical and other safety matters in the industrial world. Prior I worked for the Brussels Fire Department and as an EMT for an EMS agency in Halle and a trauma team of the university hospital, Erasmus in Brussels. Besides traveling and enjoying life, I stay busy planning training and ride along programs for Fire Observers vzw, sailing and helicopter aviation. I became a member of Fire Observers vzw in 2003, conducting my first program in April 2004 to San Diego, California. I was selected a few months later to join the board. In January 2014 I was appointed as Secretary and Treasurer for the organization. |
