New Year’s Message

2017 Is history, let us make entry to 2018. It is a new year with lots of good things on the itinerary.

First we can look forward to 4 beautiful training programs. In the first half we will go to Shreveport, Lousiana for our 2nd time. In May you’ll find us in St Louis, Missouri…Gate to the West. During the 2nd semester of 2018 Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Prince George’s County, Maryland will be our hosting departments.

And of course, negotiations for training programs in 2019 are already underway as well.

Lots of our American brothers and sisters found the way to Belgium during the past couple of years but in May 2018 we will welcome a pretty large party of them! They come over upon invitation as a result of the centennial celebrations of the first World War. Most of them are members of their Pipes & Drums bands and / or Honor Guards so it’s obvious we will participate in various events and ceremonies. One of them, if not the most important one, is the Memorial Day Ceremony at Flanders Field American Cemetery & Memorial in Waregem.

With this message I would like to extend my best wishes to you and your families for a wonderful and safe 2018!
