Kick off training program with Sacramento Fire!

Yesterday, a team of 14 Fire Observers set course towards Sacramento, CA. This is the second training program for 2014. Back in march we've conducted the first on in Atlanta, GA. In September a team will go train with South Metro Fire and Rescue Authority, CO and another one with the Fresno Fire Department in California.

This team is a mixture of career and volunteer firefighters, all ranks and ages, different specializations and they all come from Belgium except for one who's coming from The Netherlands. They will be assigned over the busiest halls and units of the city. For the next coming 8 days, Sacramento Fire has planned very full days. Next to the regular stay at the halls where they will work in the same style as their American brothers and sisters, work visits, training and demonstrations are planned with Cal Fire, ARFF, Special operations teams,…

Once the training program has come to an end, they will head on for a touristic trip to San Francisco, Yosemite NP, Grand Canyon NP, Los Angeles, Las Vegas,…

The group's return is set on May 22nd.
