Dear Fire Observers,
Following a successful 2026, Fire Observers is already looking ahead to an exciting and ambitious program for 2027.
This year, we organized firefighter exchange programs in Memphis and Charlotte, and in the coming days another group will travel to New York to participate in the commemorations marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
We are delighted to announce that our members will have the opportunity to participate in three international firefighter exchange programs in the United States in 2027.
New: Albuquerque, New Mexico (Spring 2027)
For the first time in the history of our association, we will be traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico. This program represents a new milestone for Fire Observers. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the operations of the local fire department, learn about the unique challenges faced by a major metropolitan area in the Southwestern United States, and observe the specialized firefighting and emergency response techniques used in the region.

Back to Portland, Oregon (Fall 2027)
In the fall, we will return to Portland, Oregon, a destination that has a special place in the history of Fire Observers. Our first exchange program to Portland took place in 2006 and left a lasting impression on all participants.
More than twenty years later, we are returning to exchange experiences once again, broaden our knowledge, and further strengthen the bonds with our American colleagues.
Nashville, Tennessee (For the Fourth Time)
Nashville is once again on the schedule. This popular destination will welcome Fire Observers in 2027 for the fourth time. The excellent cooperation with the local fire department, the engaging program content, and the warm hospitality have made Nashville a longstanding favorite within our organization.
Participants can once again look forward to a diverse program offering a unique insight into the American fire service.
Registration
The registration period for these three programs will run from September 1 through September 30.
