Dear Fireobservers,
In 2025, we had three training programs planned in Austin, Broward County, and the previously postponed program in Miami Dade. These programs will still take place this fall, with the first group departing in a few weeks, followed shortly afterward by the other groups.
For 2026, we have three programs planned: two training programs and a special program in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
After a successful first training program not too long ago, we are planning a spring training program next year in Memphis, Tennessee. The Memphis Fire Department welcomed us for the first time in 2023 and is inviting us again. The tourist program includes a tour in and around the state of Tennessee, including St. Louis, Nashville, Pigeon Forge, and Atlanta.
Additionally, we are offering a training program for the first time with the fire department of the city of Charlotte in North Carolina. This will also take place in the spring, and the tourist program includes visits to Washington, D.C. and New York.
The final program for 2026 is a memorial trip in honor of the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 commemoration. This program is not a firefighter training program but a tour from Washington, D.C. to New York, including visits to several memorials from the various world wars and participation in the 9/11 memorial organized by FDNY on September 11, 2026.
